Enbridge Gas and Canada’s Greener Homes Grant have joined forces to introduce the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program, offering valuable rebates for qualified retrofits like home insulation, windows, doors, heat pumps, and renewable energy systems. This innovative collaboration aims to assist a greater number of Ontarians in achieving energy savings within their homes. The benefits extend to all residents of the province, including Enbridge Gas customers who rely on natural gas for heating. These customers can now access elevated rebates of up to $10,000, providing significant financial relief. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to further reduce costs by receiving an extra $600 rebate to cover the expense of their EnerGuide home evaluation.

How To Get Rebates?
This program is eligible for those who finance and purchase. Program is not eligible for rentals*
Step 1
Contact us today to arrange your initial home energy assessment conducted by a certified Registered Energy Advisor.
Step 2
They will provide a personalized report detailing suggested enhancements.
Step 3
Fulfill the requirement of at least one qualifying upgrade.
Step 4
Schedule a follow-up home energy assessment.
Step 5
Obtain your rebate check, which encompasses an amount of up to $600 to cover the assessments.
Who Does Not Qualify:
- Residences not heated by Enbridge Gas, where the owner does not primarily reside (rental units).
- Multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs) exceeding three stories or larger than 600 m² in size.
- Homes constructed within the last six months.
- Mixed-use buildings where residential living space constitutes less than 50 percent of the total area.
- Homes that have already participated in the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) or Canada Greener Homes Grant (CGHG) initiatives, and have reached the maximum incentive limit of $10,000.
- Enbridge space-heated customers or $5,000 for non-Enbridge customers.
- Homes where upgrade work has commenced prior to conducting the pre-retrofit energy assessment.

Space and water heating, up to $7,800-ENERGY STAR® certified hot water heat pumps use up to 70 percent less energy. Ground source, air source, and domestic hot water heat pumps qualify.
Solar panels, up to $5,000. Generate your own power and reduce dependence on the grid. Solar panels and batteries qualify.
Smart thermostats, up to $125*. Boost comfort and reduce costs by saving energy automatically.
